uuuffff!!!! I barely have the strength to post. There's a trail of culinary destruction in my kitchen that will surely have to wait until tomorrow. A double boiler with chocolate residue yet to be licked clean. Streaks of whipped cream in the bowl and a blender soaking in warm water desperately needing a thorough washing. I fear the remainder of my strength will be absorbed into this keyboard as I pound out my last thoughts of the day. What has brought me to this state of incapacitation? What has me begging for mercy? One word: Serendipity. I only have myself to blame. You see, I stumbled upon a blog with this enticing recipe that I was powerless to avoid. There were three major food groups represented in this recipe: Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Whipped Cream. My fate was sealed. I would have been fine had I just stuck to one serving. However, I looked back into the kitchen and saw too much decadent goodness to waste down the drain. I made the sacrifice and finished the remainder. My wife can thank me later for sparing her.
In all truth, I have to thank Cathy at Noble Pig for this recipe. Please visit her site for the full recipe with great photos. Frozen Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate is a very rich chocolate beverage that may overpower you, but it's worth every sip.
Enjoy!!!
My picture doesn't do it justice. This is one for the recipe box!
What's so funny is I made this when no one was home and preceded to finish the whole thing! Ugh. What can I say, it was worth it!
